The PMO acts on three distinct levels;

On conceptual level the PMO elaborates models, methods and procedures to serve the projects ongoing.

On a performing level the PMO plays a fundamental role and direct actions on the projects. Actions like project plan, decision making. The PMO is an integrated part of the project team.

On a strategic level the PMO plays a deep and decision-making role. The PMO interacts with top management addressing decision making process and liaising the projects to the strategic direction of the organization.
