EMBEDDED SOFTWARE PROJECTS

“How did my 2 year project just slip 6 months in 5 days?”

Meeting the challenges of project completion amid the disruption caused by Corona virus is a problem that is hitting companies, large medium and small, hard. While social distancing and home working are very necessary to limit the spread of the disease, they can cause huge difficulties in working patterns and staffing.

We offer a service that can mitigate the problem and might save your project timescales.

We can bring a full range of key skills, from high level software application design to embedded code, drivers, and analogue and digital design to your project. Most importantly, this is backed by over 30 years experience of successfully delivering working projects, and solid project engineering and risk management skills.

You don’t need to spend weeks writing specifications and packaging information to be sent out to third parties. You just need to understand your problem (in both the technical and human sense). If you understand what you are trying to achieve, we will work with you to make it happen.

If we can get your job done, we will. If we can’t we’ll be honest about that.

What Do You Need To Know?

The most important thing is that your team understands the problem that your project solves, and how you intend to solve. You may or may not have already started implementation. Here’s a checklist. Can you answer “yes” to the following questions?

  1. Do you have or can you write a simplified, high level “System Description” of your project? With a maximum of about 10 or 12 pages, including a clear description of requirements – what the system has to do?
  2. If the system has to interface with other systems, do you know what those interfaces are and how they work (or can you get that information)?
  3. When it comes to the development cycle, is it clear how the software/hardware developer will be able to tell that things are working? Is special equipment needed?
  4. Is there a need for a software regression test framework (unit testing) or is it enough that things are shown to work as the design cycle progresses?
  5. Do you know roughly when the project must be delivered? Is it possible that the functionality of the system can be delivered bit by bit?

If you can say yes to all these, we can talk.
